Traditional Korean dessert yakgwa with walnut topping served on a white plate

Welcome to Soyomoment

I started this blog to share the unique beauty, lifestyle, and cultural trends from South Korea with a global audience. Every time I travel between Seoul, the UK, and Sweden, friends and colleagues ask me about Korean skincare, fashion, and daily life.

Here, you’ll find personal experiences, practical tips, and honest insights into K-beauty and beyond — from glass skin treatments to everyday lifestyle moments in Korea.

Why “Soyomoment”?

The name Soyomoment (소요, 逍遙의 순간) comes from the Korean word soyo (소요), which means a calm, simple, and meaningful moment. The Chinese characters 逍遙 add a deeper sense of peaceful wandering and freedom.

It reflects the little pauses in life where beauty and inspiration can be found — whether that’s glowing skin, a shared meal, or a quiet walk in Seoul.

My Goal

My goal is to make Korean trends more approachable, understandable, and inspiring for readers worldwide.

Thanks for being here — I hope Soyomoment brings a little piece of Seoul into your everyday life.
